This isn’t just any food store, it’s an M&S food store – open in Sheldon!

I am a real foodie and I love trying new things. Discovering new recipes and trying out different ranges available in the shops excites me and keeps the weekly food shop exciting. I am pretty time-poor as a full time working mum of two now, and I can struggle to come up with new ideas for family meals, so I do love a trip to M&S Food to tantalise my taste buds.

I’ve never been disappointed by the choice or quality of their ranges and fresh produce, and I actually enjoy doing ‘the big shop’ there every so often as it makes a break from the routine.

I was therefore excited to learn that a new Marks and Spencer food store was opening in Sheldon today – Wednesday 25^th September – because it's a great excuse to see what’s on offer and pick up something new.

How fun!

So, what’s new and what do you need to know about the new store?

First, it’s located at Sheldon Retail Park, and it’s led by Store Manager, Sara Jones, and her team of 45 colleagues.

Second, the M&S team aim to offer the community the very best service at Sheldon, having been extensively trained in how to make every moment special for customers, drawing on M&S’s 135 years of serving the British public.

Third, the new Sheldon food store has the great mix of everyday essentials and seasonal inspiration and innovation we have all come to love M&S for, plus customers can shop for M&S’s full Clothing & Home ranges via M&S.com, by using their Click & Collect service.

What is more, M&S is aiming to give shoppers extra inspiration whilst in store, as the new M&S team will be providing foodie tips for shoppers by sharing their own M&S favourite products via bespoke badges, in-store signage and striking up conversations with customers. No more needing to ask yourself “what on earth am I going to cook for dinner tonight?”.

The launch saw at least 300 shoppers pile into the store within the first 40 minutes, with the first 200 scooping golden tickets, ranging from a £5 voucher up to one lucky person nabbing a £200 gift card. Oh, and a certain Penny Pig was there too...

I’m really looking forward to trying out the all new Cook With M&S range; it’s a collection of shortcut ingredients, all designed to make cooking dinner easier, and chef Chris Baber has created some easy, speedy family recipes that aim to dispel dinner time dilemmas for good.

The new M&S Sheldon food store is open now, located at Unit 1, Sheldon Retail Park, 2245 Coventry Road, Birmingham, B26 3DE, and is opening times are: Monday – Saturday, 8am – 8pm, and on Sunday, 10.30am – 4.30pm.
