The week that was #14

A little late in posting this - feel like I'm running late with most things at the moment! - but still wanted to share some snaps, memories and thoughts from last week.

It's amazing how quickly my memory can fade, as one week ends and another begins.

What I do remember most about last week was this little face.

DOING We had a lovely day together, on Tuesday instead of our usual Wednesday due to diary needs at work.

We went to Starbucks for a coffee (babychino for the little Mr) after dropping hubs off at work then we did a spot of shopping around Tesco before I was due at the hospital to pick up a 24 hour blood pressure monitor. It's part of a series of tests the docs have been doing to try to work out if I have high blood pressure, what's causing it and whether I need medication. Hopefully, the monitor will reveal all...

Eeyore came with us everywhere.

Ethan used my appointment letter to draw on, and asked me to draw the different members of his family.

When we arrived home, I actually squealed when I saw these. Anyone who has never had a wheelie bin before and has had to just leave sacks of rubbish on the curb will appreciate my glee, however tragic this really makes me sound.

After a couple of hours playing at home, and catching up on chores, we headed to the park for a quick swing and slide before going to pick up hubs. It was lovely.

USING: I picked up this beaut shopper bag from Tesco. It's another Orla Kiely print and is the same size as another one I already have. Absolutely love it, just need to remember to take it with me when I do the shopping...!

EATING: I've been smoothie making until my heart's content and also enjoying some lighter dishes, including this superfood tuna bowl. It had everything from wheatberries and seeds through to avocado and halloumi, and it was absolutely de-lish.

CHANGING I spent the whole week (and the past three months, pretty much) counting down to having my hair done. Properly. I hadn't had it cut since last June (eek!) and it had been three months since I last coloured it, so I was in desperate need.

I was still undecided even when sat in the chair about what to have, all I knew was that I wanted a long, graduated bob again, like I'd had last summer.

Heather, my hairdresser, is super talented, particularly when it comes to colour, and she hand-blended this raspberry into red into peach beauty of a 'do for me. I was amazed by the result and it seems so many people love it too, so I am a very happy bunny indeed.

And after months of trying, I finally got a nice photo of Ethan and I together that I could use as a profile pic (the last was from August), with us both looking at the camera, both looking pretty happy and both of us in focus. Hurrah!
