Dream, believe, achieve

On Monday, I'm going to share with you my motto for 2016 - in fact, it's more of a mantra and something I'm going to keep reminding myself of as this year, I'm really motivated and determined to get out of it as much as I can.

For now, however, I wanted to share a few wishes, hopes or goals for the year ahead. Some are quite standard - the same kind of thing that a lot of people will be aiming for - but it's good to have an idea of what you want. It's often half the battle, knowing what you want - the trick is to work out how to achieve it.

Here's a few thoughts from me...

Plan of attack: put all areas of my life in order, and know where I'm going and when I will get there. From finances to fun times, if I plan it out, I can do it.

I've got a Kikki K family planner on its way and I'm going to use it to plan out work life as well as family life, reminders, meals, blog activity and me time too so everything can get a good look in.

Snap happy: I really enjoy photography and it's becoming more of a part of this blog too.

I want to get to know my DSLR camera better and I have a handy 'busy girls guide to digital photography' book that will be put to good use this year.

I've dabbled in the Me and Mine pinky but not consistently. Even if I have to set a reminder on my phone, I want to be sure that this time next year, I can look back on 12 months of family photos and smile.

Sharing is caring: I read a lot of blogs and dip in and out of posts but I know myself it would be nice to know more about my readers so I want to share more of what I read and enjoy and be sure to let those bloggers know too.

Read on: I loved reading once and need to make a conscious effort to start again. I'm going to start on something simple, like re-reading the Harry Potter series, but it's something I'd really like to enjoy again.

Think on: I used to go to yoga classes and I really enjoyed the meditation side but it's been a very long time since I did this.

And I really would like to again.

I have a book called Living for the Moment and it has meditation tips for busy people so I hope I can take some time out of my day a couple of days a week to relax and reflect.

Inside and out: I'm going to think more about what I put in and what I put out. From eating better and taking in only the good influences and things in life to giving out more positivity and support, I want to be the best I can be this year.

I'm a very positive person and although this has been tested at times, I'm determined to make a difference this year and to only carry with me the things that will make my life better.

So, these are just a few of my hopes or aims for the next 12 months. There's probably a few more but these sum up my general attitude. I'm feeling determined and like 2016 is there for the taking.

With this in mind, I'm adding 'positivity' as a regular topic on here as it's something I want to explore and share this year.

We can all do with motivation and inspiration and there's lots to be had out there so I hope to do my bit to share and share alike. Mindfulness is a big buzz word at the moment and something that's struck a chord with me, so stick with TBM and I'll do my best to share good vibes, positive posts and fresh ideas.

What are you striving for this year?
