A natural skincare routine with Organique

I'm always up for trying new skincare products and beauty treats too, so when I heard there was a new natural skincare brand in town, I was keen to check it out for myself.

Organique is a Polish company that specialises in natural cosmetics and combines high quality ingredients to create effective lotions and potions.

As a lover of lotions and potions, it was love at first sniff for me.

The one and only UK shop is at North Western Arcade in Birmingham (follow on Twitter and Instagram) and is well worth a visit if you want to try an alternative solution to any skincare problems you may have or you want to indulge in some natural pampering.

I picked up a few things, including the Aleppo Soap, a big seller apparently, which is great for sensitive skins and has real moisturising properties. It's apparently similar to what's used in traditional Turkish spas and I've found it to be very mild and has been gentle on my psoriasis, so I'm pleased with this so far.

I also opted for two of the 'do it yourself' style mask kits. I was fascinated by the demo I saw at the opening event and I love anything which emphasises the ritual of bathing. There's all kinds of powers, from green clay and algae variants, to choose from depending on your skin type and the idea is that you mix these at home, as much as you need, when you need it.

It's taken a bit of practice but I have really enjoyed making these masks and a tip is that a little goes a long way. The Algae Mask Eye Contour (£6.50) was very soothing on my tired eyes and my skin did feel more taut for quite some time after washing the mixture away.

Ethan thought I looked like a superhero!

The hydrating Algae Mask with Pumpkin and Glucose (£7.50) is a real treat too. Easy to mix, this really seemed to plump up my skin straight away and was really enjoyable to use, with plenty left over. Algae has lots of positive properties from reducing inflammation to improving tone. I'm keen to try some more of the products in this range now too.

Hubs asked me why I had covered my face in baked beans...

If you're in Birmingham, it's well worth a visit to see if they have a natural solution to any of your skincare concerns and they'll happily demonstrate the products or give you samples to try too. If you're not local, then don't worry as you can order online.
