Personalised Father's Day gifts from Snapfish (inc. vlog)

Buying for the men in my life isn't one of the easiest things - I don't know why, but picking gifts for my Dad, Husband or Father-in-law each Christmas, birthday and Father's Day can prove really tricky. Of course, Father's Day is just two weekends away (it's Sunday 18th June, in case you need a little reminder) and I don't think I'm alone when it comes to head scratching and wondering what to get the special men in my life...

Another pair of socks? Novelty, of course.
Their favourite chocolate?
Some aftershave?

These are usual fail-safe options that suit most men but they aren't necessarily the most inspired.

For recent occasions, I have tried to go for the personalised route. I enjoy gift giving and like the idea of picking something and making it personal to the person it is for. Add in my love of taking pictures and you can see why I am such a big fan of Snapfish.

They offer a great range of online printing services and gifts and I have called upon them many a time - for Ethan's first birthday photo album, to a special canvas I designed for my Father-in-Law, some fun coaster gifts I made for family and friends and personalised photo calendars that our parents loved.

So, what do they have to offer for this Father's Day?

I had a good look and found a few different things to get the three fathers I have to buy gifts for and picked up something for them all...

My Father-in-Law

For the man who has everything already, what do you get? I've gone down the sentimental route and picked the Snapfish small photo cushion, which measures 12'' x 12'' and is priced at £19.99. As with all photo gifts, you can upload your photos to an album, select the right one then play around with the positioning until you're happy, approving a proof of the final product before adding to your basket.

I chose this size as it is small and could be something that he takes away with him when he moves overseas soon and this particular picture as it was really important for him when Ethan was born to have a three generations photo with Ethan, hubs and himself.

The quality of the photo print is fantastic, the material feels hard-wearing, the back is  faux suede in 'fawn' (a neutral shade) and you can take the cover off should you need to sponge-wash any marks off it in time. I'm really pleased with this and think it's something a bit different.

Dad

My Dad likes photos, frames and artwork, with his home being his castle, so I've picked out a couple of things from Snapfish that he'll hopefully like and get use out of too.

First of all, I chose the new 10'' x 8'' wood photo panel, which has a gloss finish, minimalist stand and is priced at £14.99 (or opt for 7'' x 5'' for £9.99). My Dad loves wood and used to do woodcarving so I thought that this was a really different idea, to print a photo onto a wood finish, and I chose a recent(ish) photo of Ethan and I. Who wouldn't want to look at us smiling down on them every day?!

Next, I chose the set of six personalised coasters, which all feature the same design but in the online designer, you can play around with lots of layouts, multiple photos and different background options too. These are £12.99, measure 4'' x 4'' and they're heat resistant so your design will stay looking good for a long time. I think these are really fun and I hope my Dad likes the photos I picked out to feature.

I didn't know this, but you can also buy personalised photo cards from Snapfish, so well worth a look as you browse the gift ideas (I always forget to buy cards!), and prices start at just £1.25 per card. Here's the Father's Day range they have to offer.

Hubs

Of course I can't forget my hubs. I have a few other ideas for him which I'll be sharing in another post, but whilst on the Snapfish website, I did make a card for Ste too, from Ethan, so I could tick this off my 'must remember to get' list.

I'm really pleased with the bits and pieces I picked out from Snapfish and just how easy it was. There's quite a few ideas and it is so straightforward to edit and customise the products to suit.

I just hope that the men in my life are happy too come Father's Day, with something a little bit different and a little special to mark the occasion.
