Wrapping up warm with Saltrock

I love a good knit, don't you? The kind of chunky cardigan that you can throw on with jeans and boots, or couple with a dress, to keep you warm during these cooler months. Versatile and cosy, a go-to wardrobe staple.

And I've found my new one for this season.

I discovered Saltrock in the summer and all three of us picked out a couple of things which we ended up wearing all summer long. I didn't know that they would have just as much choice for winter, until I was offered an item of my choosing and saw what a great range of knitwear and sweatshirts plus hoodies and fleeces they have available too.

I quickly fell in love with the Clovelly Knitted Cardigan and thought it would make a great addition to my look for autumn and beyond, and I wasn't disappointed when it arrived.

It has a really chunky style to it, with a blend of black and grey to add contrast, including black edging to the front, the pockets and the sleeves. The open-front design makes it really easy to throw over the rest of your outfit, layering up against the elements, and it fits well whilst not feeling either too clingy or too baggy.

I think it's perfect for dressing up or down your look, depending on how you wear it. With a t-shirt underneath and a pair of jeans, it's casual; add a blouse or denim shirt for a contrasting texture plus a pair of boots, and it pulls together a more smart-casual look; or add to a dress and some pumps and you can warm up a more dressy ensemble.

This weekend, I wore it with skinny jeans, a denim shirt and biker boots - and felt comfortable, warm but also 'put-together' at the same time.

I just love the way it feels and how it fits across the shoulders and at the sleeves, plus it's lovely and warm and great for those days when it's not so chilly or when you don't want to wear a big coat whilst our shopping.

Who knew that I would find my new cardigan best friend at Saltrock? At £35 right now, instead of £60, it's a bargain too, particularly considering the quality of the knit.

I will definitely be loving it all season long.

* I was sent this item for purposes of review but all choices and opinions remain my own.
