Snack time for avocado addicts

Hands up, who is an avocado addict? * ME! ME! * It's the favoured food of Millennials apparently and the humble avocado has become much loved by many a food lover and I simply can't get enough of it. I like it on toast, in a salad and LOVE it as guacamole - I've even blended it in smoothies for a creamy and healthy drink.

So, imagine my joy when I learned of a new avocado based snack.

Snackamolé is a new avocado based snack that delivers you one of your five a day in a convenient pack that you can enjoy at your desk, on a picnic or on the go. In two varieties, you can choose between a Chunky Avocado Dip or a smoother, zingier Guacamole Dip, both of which come with popped paprika flavour chips.

One of the things I am less keen on when it comes to enjoying avocados is how hit and miss the 'ripe' labels can be. There's nothing worse when you're looking forward to a nice avocado than finding it is still really hard and not quite ripe enough for what you need, and sometimes it can be a bit of a faff preparing your lunch or dip when you don't have a lot of time. And of course, we all know avocados can turn quite quickly after you cut them in half, sometimes even if you keep the stone in.

This is one of the great things I have found about Snackamolé - it's ready to enjoy when you are and everything is already blended into a tasty treat.

How have I been enjoying my Snackamolé?

Well, of course there's the desk dining at lunch time (I find that there's more avocado dip than you have crackers, unless you are an over-scooper, but I like this and add some sliced cucumber of carrot batons):

Then there's my go-to weekend breakfast, where I top a slice of seeded bread toast with avocado then layer with griddled cherry tomatoes and crispy bacon (the Chunky Avocado Dip is perfect for this):

And a great brunch idea is to take the Guacamole Dip, spread this on some toast nice and thick and top with scrambled egg and your choice of accompaniment (peppers, onions and mushrooms, a bot of cheese or ham, or perhaps smoked salmon if you're feeling posh):

But of course, the most obvious way to enjoy it would be with a box set, feet up on the sofa, as a lighter and healthier alternative to nachos:

Snackamolé is available to buy from stores such as Co-op, Budgens, Nisa and Londis (check here to find your nearest stockist) for £2.50 a pack. I like how it's available from local shops and it makes for a great lunch or snack on the go alternative, and far healthier too.

I really like this snack and think it's a good price for something tasty and different.

How would you eat yours?
