Day of the Dead at Umberslade Farm this Halloween - bonfire, fireworks and a lot of spooky goings on!

Something wicked this way comes... and it promise to be a lot of fun, for the whole family. If you love all things Halloween and your little ones are fans of a trick or treat or two, Umberslade Farm has a really unique event coming up that you won't want to miss.

I was sent the following information and will be attending the event to review it on the night (#gifted tickets), but wanted to share with you all the details as I haven't heard of such an all inclusive event for Halloween and think it'll be one not to miss.

It sounds like Disney's Coco come to life and I can not wait!

with a Day of the Dead Bonfire Party

Umberslade Farm Park is to hold a bonfire night with a twist to celebrate the Farm’s 30th year

Skeletons, fire dancers, silent disco, spooky crafts and a live Mariachi band alongside the traditional Umberslade bonfire and fireworks.

Umberslade Farm Park is celebrating its 30th year with a Day of the Dead Family Bonfire and Fireworks Party on Thursday 31 October 2019.  Gates open at 4.30pm, the Umberslade Bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm and the firework display takes place at 7.30pm.

The Day of the Dead Bonfire Party will be a frightful delight for all the family. Expect fire dancers, day of the dead inspired stilt walkers and puppetry, and a live Mariachi band. Visitors can dance the night away with the Dead Famous Family Silent Disco – which plays the music of artists who are gone but not forgotten - or be entertained by some spooky story telling.

With day of the dead themed face painting and Halloween themed hands-on craft in the newly renovated play-barn and coffee barn, visitors can choose to follow the pumpkin trail across the Farm or dare to knock on the trick or treat doors. Keeping everyone warm and refreshed expect spooky street food and a licensed bar.

Oliver Muntz, Umberslade Farm Park said: “As it’s a special year for the Farm we wanted to have a Bonfire Night with a twist, an opportunity for visitors to the farm to experience something new as well as enjoying our annual bonfire and fireworks.

“We think our Day of the Dead Bonfire party will be a night to remember. And don’t forget if you come in fang-tastic fancy dress you will be in with a chance to win a Family Farm Pass!”

The Day of the Dead Family Bonfire and Firework Party opens at 4.30pm, remember to dress for the weather and wear sensible footwear! Tickets available at http://www.umberslade.com/
Throughout October half-term Umberslade Farm Park is open daily from 10am. Children of all ages can enjoy a number of farm-based activities including pumpkin carving as well as opportunities to hold, feed and stroke a variety of animals at the working family farm.

The Day of the Dead Family Bonfire and Firework Party is produced by Outdoor Places Unusual Spaces (OPUS), a Birmingham based outdoor events company who specialise in creating cultural and artistic interventions in place-based settings that aim to connect people to each other and the place they are in.
