Skincare solutions from Skinstation - Obagi review

I’m one of those ‘lucky’ types to have combination skin, a touch of rosacea, a bit of mask acne, signs of ageing and fair skin that’s very reactive to the sun.

So… skincare is particularly important but finding a good moisturiser is actually really tricky for me. I’ve tried so many but haven’t found a good balance. I need a moisturiser that offers hydration but that’s not going to leave my skin shiny and tacky - trust me, I’ve tried a lot and this seems to be quite a big ask!

Skinstation, an online store that allows you to browse and buy luxury skincare products at the competitive prices, introduced me to Obagi and gifted me this hydrating moisturiser, and I have to say, I’m impressed.

It has quite a light texture and you only need one pump to have enough to cover your face. There’s no powerful scent and the best thing is it sinks in quickly, without the need to blend for very long at all. It melts into your skin and you are left feeling prepped.

Instantly, my skin feels nourished and firm and as it absorbs so well, you can move on to apply your make up straight away.

Here’s a bit more about the brand:

Obagi skincare, which is the #1 physician dispensed skincare brand in the world, operates on a systems platform, which started with the creation and development, in 1988, of the groundbreaking Nu-Derm system, consisting of high quality, targeted, potent topical products, which when used together as a system results in substantial skin improvements: truly healthy, more radiant skin at any age.

The Obagi treatment systems focus on the treatment of specific common skin conditions, such as sun damage, dull skin, fine lines, acne and pigmentation, creating a balanced skin tone, increasing the skin's own ability to generate moisture, modulating oil production and increasing the skin's tolerance to external factors.

The Obagi Hydrate Facial Moisturiser is available from Skinstation for £41.69 and I have a feeling it’s going to last a good while, as a little goes a long way. It’s been great for these warmer days, which is when my skin can become shiny and I feel less like piling on the product, and I’m really enjoying using it. It feels different to other options I have tried over the years.
