I recently had Covid (hasn't everyone now?) and for two weeks, I didn't wear makeup. This might not sound all that unusual, but for me, it was. I have worn makeup almost every day since being a teenager - it makes me feel better and it does make a big difference, as I am very fair, have light eyelashes and barely-there eyebrows... and some rosacea too, amongst other things!

I can't really show you in a photo what my skin looked like before and after; with pale skin, imperfections and rosacea, my bare skin now doesn't look great to an outsider, but it is different to me. I can tell as my skin has fewer dry patches than before and it looks more even in tone.
