What would my ideal break look like? Well, if we are talking about the perfect weekend away, I would have to say that the kids would be with their grandparents (sorry boys, I love you, but mama needs a break!), and my husband and I would be off to stay somewhere we have never been, in beautiful surroundings and with space and time to R-E-L-A-X.
Ahhhhhhhhhhh.
We love Center Parcs because it offers a home away from home but within a new environment, but we haven't been for years and it is better suited for a family break.
I love finding new places and came across Ribblesdale Park, part of the Gisburne Park Estate in the Yorkshire Dales and I am telling you, if I could, I would runaway there next weekend!
First of all, it is a beautiful part of England to visit.
Second, the park is secluded, boasting beautiful scenary and stunning, modern lodges that are nestled into their surroungdings.
Third, you can stay in luxury holiday lodges with hot tubs a truly relaxing experienced.
What could be better?
Honestly. I can't think of anything else right now.
When we go away with friends, a feature like a hot tub is a huge plus point and usually a deciding factor. Great for a romantic break with the husband, or for a fun weekend with friends, I really could see myself making a luxury lodge like this my home for a night or two... or more!
There are 10 different luxury lodges to choose from at Ribblesdale Park and any one of them would be a great base for a couples retreat, a weekend away with the girls, or a quiet family break.
I am definitely putting this on the 'must visit' list. I just need to get my in-laws booked for a weekend of child-sitting...
