The Week That Was Captured #27

Hello! This week's round up is a little twist on my 'The Week That Was' series as I've only just realised that a linky exists on this very theme, called 'The Week That Was Captured' no less, by the lovely Hannah at Make Do and Push (just one of my regular blog reads and one that's convinced me I need to write a sequel to my 'blogs I'm reading and loving' post as there's so many worth mentioning).

This week, I worked through the week but it means I carry a day over to the week ahead so I get two days with little man now, which will be great. And I'm going to enjoy every moment as from August, I will be a full time working mum, instead of four days a week. So the week ahead has to be extra special indeed.

This handsome prince has so much fun at nursery, which it helps me to know while I am at work.

We're moving offices at work - today being the first day in our new building - and the geek in me couldn't help but buy a few bits and bobs for my desk.

I love stationery. Worryingly so. And this feels as close to 'back to school' as possible for a 31 year old.

I brought home my old work pinboard and we put this up in our dining room. It's much bigger than what we've had before and has plenty of space of ideas and inspiration.

I've also made time this week to do some crafting. It's been a while but I made a trip to Hobbycraft and stocked up on some new card planks and a few other pieces. These two cards I made for two friends who are both getting married this time next year. I thought it would be nice to send them a note to say how excited I am and to look forward to the celebrations next year.

As you can tell, I love buying bits and bobs for the house and these fab retro glasses were on offer for just £1 for the four in Wilkos.

We finally finished one of the three Douwe Egberts Orla Kiely limited edition print coffee jars I tracked down a few weeks ago. This one now holds tealights and fits in beautifully in our lounge.

Another new item I picked up this week. One of my favourite breakfast smoothies to make is with banana, oats, peanut butter and almond milk and the new peanut butter varieties from Whole Earth are amazing. This one I highly recommend.

And on the naughty side of things... still loving my new Pimms jam jar glass and hubs got the jam jar glass below when he bought a bottle of Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum.

Cheers!

This arrived just a couple of days after this post. The dress on the front has also been added to my CK wishlist.

At the weekend, we popped into B&Q to pick up some new flooring for our bathroom. We've decided to make some quick changes to give it a much needed makeover, bit by bit, and new flooring was a priority.

And that's our week in a nutshell!

In the week ahead, I'm finally getting my hair done (my roots are ridiculous), I'm going to do something special with my special little guy then at the weekend, we are planning on visiting National Adventure Farm again. If the weather behaves!

Enjoy yours,

Kelly x
